Beautiful antique set of indoor pétanque balls, signed La Boule Noire – Rue Sandin – Toulon, with a registered design mark inside the case.
This type of object was intended for indoor, decorative use, or as a prestige item, and not for outdoor use.
It is today a sought-after collectible item, representative of the French pétanque tradition in the mid-20th century.
