Description from the seller

Pair of Capodimonte decorative plates ‘Bernini’ – Italy, c. 1948–1965 – Baroque putti in relief

Elegant pair of Capodimonte ceramic decorative plates, model 'Bernini', made in Italy in the mid-20th century (approx. 1948–1965).

The pieces feature a rich, Baroque-style raised border, with abundant vegetal decoration and hand-applied gilded details, characteristic of the Italian Capodimonte tradition. In the center, each plate presents a figurative scene with putti (cherubs) in a pastoral landscape, painted with great delicacy and warm colors.
On the back, they preserve the original mark CAPODIMONTE – Made in Italy – “BERNINI”, accompanied by the number 572, which confirms its artisanal production within a high-quality series, typical of the Italian postwar period.

These pieces are an excellent example of Italian decorative ceramics from the 20th century, highly valued by both Capodimonte collectors and by lovers of classical and Baroque styles in decoration.

Measurements (per plate)
25 × 25 cm
Height: 3.4 cm

Condition: Very good vintage condition (see images, they are part of the description). They show slight signs of aging consistent with their age. No cracks, breaks or visible restorations.
The gold is in very good condition.
