Two-piece antique bronze pharmacy mortar with its original pestle, dating to the late 19th–early 20th century, approximately 12–13 cm high, mouth diameter 14–16 cm, and weighing 1,233 g.

Antique bronze pharmacy mortar with its original pestle, dating from the late 19th – early 20th century.
Classic example of an apothecary’s mortar, cast in solid mass with an elegant flared mouth and twin side handles. Complete with its original pestle, an item increasingly rare to find in a pair.
The body shows decorative lathe-turned workmanship and signs of wear consistent with its age, which attest to its authenticity and historical use in the pharmaceutical or herbal medicine field.
On the underside there are engraved numbers visible (likely foundry marks or vintage inventory).
A very decorative object, ideal for collectors of antique pharmacy instruments, rustic furnishings, medical offices, or vintage environments.
Conditions: good overall condition, with original patina, signs of use and surface oxidation consistent with age. No cracks or visible breaks. Pestle included.
