Description from the seller
Enamelled copper box with a metal mount – late 18th century
Enamelled copper box, shaped in form, decorated with polychrome enamels featuring a central architectural landscape depicting buildings and a church in a rural setting. The scene is framed by a shaped cartouche, while the rest of the surface is ornamented with vertical polychrome bands in blue, yellow and purple tones.
The item is equipped with a metal frame applied to the edges, which reinforces the profile and integrates the original lid hinge.
White-glazed interior with widespread craquelure, consistent with the technique and the period of production.
European production, probably late 18th century.
A refined object, intended for use as a vanity box, tabacchiera, or decorative container, today sought after by collectors of enameled objects and decorative arts.
Condition status
Overall good. Presence of craquelure, light wear, small signs of age, and slight irregularities of the glaze, visible in the photographs. No obvious structural damage. The mounting and hinge are functioning.
Dimensions:
Width about 12 cm
(see photo with a ruler for reference)

Shipping
The item is shipped from Switzerland.
For shipments to the European Union, longer delivery times should be expected and possible import costs (VAT, duties, or customs clearance charges), at the purchaser's expense.
Traditional mail is the most economical solution, but not the fastest or the most reliable in terms of delivery times. If you choose this method, I cannot guarantee timely delivery.
If requested, we can evaluate other carriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx, etc.) with a personalized quote.
Careful packaging, appropriate to the object's fragility.
