Large Chinese porcelain vase – Qing Dynasty, c. 1850
An important Chinese porcelain vase finely decorated, dating from the Qing dynasty, datable to around the mid-19th century (circa 1850).
The vase features an elegant, slender form with a flared neck and is enriched by two pierced side handles, a decorative element typical of high-quality production of the period. The surface is hand-decorated with a complex figurative scene in a garden, depicting figures in traditional dress, bamboo trees, and floral motifs, rendered with a harmonious palette of greens, oranges, and blues on a light background.
The painting quality, the richness of the details, and its substantial size make this object especially decorative and visually striking. The enamel appears well preserved and luminous, with a patina consistent with its age.
