Ancient Greek Campanian terracotta askos of c.4th–3rd century BC with a crescentic body, back loop handle, cylindrical neck with a disc rim, and a smooth glazed surface; 9 cm long and high, in excellent/intact condition, acquired in 2013 from the United Kingdom via auction, provenance Nancy and Earl Keefer Collection (USA), with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Greek blackware askos vessel with crescentic body, a loop strap handle on the back and short cylindrical neck with disc rim. Smooth glazed surface. Exquisite.
Size: 9 cm L and H - 3 9/16 inches;
Material: Terracotta
Culture: Greek, Campanian, c. 4th - 3rd Century B.C.
Condition: Intact
Provenance: Nancy and Earl Keefer Collection, USA, formed from the late 1950s to the late 1990s.
