Beautiful Zeiss Ikon Donata 227/7 folding-/bed camera, a rugged and solidly built model (comparable to the Maximar), produced in the period 1927–1931. This camera is designed for plates or film packs in the 9 x 12 cm format and is known for its sturdy construction and refined mechanics.
Equipped with the Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 1:4.5 f=150mm (no. 868120) in a Compur central shutter. Focusing is achieved via the camera bed with a precisely milled rack-and-pinion drive.
The Donata features both a bright finder and a viewfinder, and a lightweight aluminum body with leather trim. The lens carrier is also adjustable in both height and width via a screw-drive—ideal for corrections and composition control.
