Description from the seller
A splendid veneered oak Art Deco table clock with a rectangular case and a front adorned with numerous brass decorations.
The clock case is nicely decorated on the side with 'pearl' decorations, typical Art Deco.
The period during which this cabinet clock was manufactured will be around 1920 or perhaps slightly earlier.
The clock is in very good condition, and that after more than 100 years.
The sight glass is surrounded by a brass rim.
The dial is still in fine condition, with the domed glass door fitted with a brass ring and it closes very well.
The movement is of very good quality and from Junghans. The movement has been ultrasonically cleaned and runs beautifully; it is original and suited to this clock, and where necessary lightly oiled and properly leveled. It features a nice, full, single, round gong that sounds every half and full hour.
Incidentally, it can be easily turned off by twisting the dial.
The hammer is easily adjustable with the screw at the bottom. The clock is also running accurately!
Connoisseurs and enthusiasts know how to appraise the value of this beautiful cabinet clock, but nonetheless, I am offering the clock without a minimum reserve price to give everyone the opportunity to acquire this cabinet clock, which would be a striking addition to any type of interior.
Includes the key and is very carefully packaged; it is shipped only to countries within Europe.
