Christofle Gallia, serving plate/bread basket/fruit bowl made of antique silver in the Art Nouveau style, with Gallia marks, circa 1910.
This is a beautiful and elegant basket for serving bread or fruit. It would be a striking piece on any table with its Art Nouveau design and perforated work pattern. The flowing flowers are very characteristic of the era, making this dish eye-catching.
The plate shows signs of its great age (more than 100 years) and has clearly been very used and loved throughout its long life. Notable are slight losses of silver on the surface.
