Balda Kamera-Werk Super Baldina, a 35mm rangefinder camera with a collapsible Rodenstock Trinar 50mm f/2.8 lens and Prontor-SVS shutter, dating to circa 1940–1950, in good physical condition and tested and working.
Description from the seller
For sale: a Super Baldina (circa 1954 model), a 35mm rangefinder camera produced in West Germany by Balda Kamera-Werk. This specimen is equipped with a Rodenstock Trinar 50mm f/2.8 lens mounted on a Prontor-SVS central shutter.
The Super Baldina stands out for its distinctive construction: although it is not a traditional folding bellows camera, it has a retractable (collapsible) lens that retracts into the body to make it more compact during transport. It features a coupled rangefinder for precise focusing and a shutter with speeds from 1s to 1/300s plus bulb. Aesthetically very elegant, with chrome finishes and a black faux-leather covering, it is an example of solid, reliable postwar German engineering. Included is the Super Baldina camera as shown in the images.
