Description from the seller
for sale Zeiss Ikon Maximar 207/7, a splendid folding camera for 9x12 cm plates produced in Germany by Zeiss Ikon AG between 1927 and 1939. Direct heir of the 'ICA Maximar' from 1914, this model established itself as one of the most versatile and high-quality plate cameras of the era.
The camera features a metal body clad in black leather, with a double-extension bellows that allows the use of auxiliary lenses (Distar/Proxar) and macro photography. The optical-shutter block offers shift movements and vertical rise/fall to correct perspective, making it a portable mini view camera. It mounts a Zeiss lens (often a Tessar or a Novar) on a central shutter Compur or Derval with speeds up to 1/200s, B and T. Equipped with a bright, swiveling viewfinder with an integrated bubble level and a sport finder (iconometer). Included is a Zeiss Ikon Maximar 207/7 camera with its original leather case as shown in the images.
