Beautifully crafted Danish silver teapot on a burner (rechaud), made by the silversmith Arent Nicolai Dragsted in Copenhagen (1821-1898). Court supplier to the Danish Court.

The bulb-shaped boiler with a richly ornamented tripod and spirit burner. Equipped with the original tap with a wooden knob and matching lid crown. It rests on four wooden feet. The two outer fold-out ornaments serve to grip the boiler. The whole is executed in a typical 19th-century design with light Art Nouveau influences.

The kettle bears the Danish silver hallmarks and the Crown of Dragsted.
