Description from the seller
Old cauldron, hammered copper kettle with a wrought-iron handle – magnificent patina

This authentic antique copper cauldron is a beautiful example of traditional craftsmanship from the 19th century. The cauldron is made of hammered solid copper and is equipped with a sturdy forged-iron handle.
Over years of use, the copper has developed a warm, natural patina, giving this cauldron a distinctive character and a historic look. No repairs visible; the original rivets are intact – a rare example of functional antique with decorative appeal.
Historical use:
This type of cauldron was used over an open fire or in the fireplace, especially to heat water, prepare food, or carry out household chores. Thanks to its sturdy handle, the cauldron could be easily moved or hung from a hook above the fire. An indispensable tool in households of the time.
