Truly splendid color pages from the car brand Hupmobile during the Roaring Twenties
All provided with a passe-partout by Only Yesterday Antiques - Ephemera in Marietta, NY
Hupmobile was a line of cars that was built from 1909 through 1939 by the Hupp Motor Car Company from Detroit. The prototype was developed in 1908.
In 1909, Bobby Hupp together with Charles Hastings, formerly employed at Oldsmobile, founded the Hupp Motor Car Company. Hastings invested the first $8,500 in the production of Hupp’s car. Later, investors J. Walter Drake, Joseph Drake, John Baker, and Edwin Denby joined them. Drake was elected president; Hupp became vice president and general manager. Emil Nelson, formerly employed at Oldsmobile and Packard, joined the company as chief engineer.
