Description from the seller
The offered camera EXA-1a with Meyer-Optik Görlitz Domiplan f2.8/50mm is in very nice and perfectly working condition.
The body is the EXA-Ia Type 2 (variant D) that was produced from August 1965 through May 1977.
In Klaus Wichmann's book EXA cameras it is stated that the offered camera is the second type because this camera is equipped with a cut-out window (on the film-advance lever) for the ASA/ISO scale numbers.
And furthermore it is said that the EXA-Ia from serial number 450,000 has received an improved print button... hence Variant D.
The camera itself works flawlessly at all speeds from B, 1/30 sec up to and including 1/175 sec.
The Meyer-Optik Görlitz Domiplan f2.8/50mm lens has been tested and is in excellent condition. This lens has the Exakta bayonet mount.
There are no scratches, cleaning traces or mold present.
The diaphragm works excellently from f/2.8 up to and including f/22.
There are no oil traces visible on the diaphragm blades.
Sharpening proceeds butter-smoothly without any hitches or grinding.
This is a fantastic lens for photographers seeking a lens with a distinctive, artistic look, particularly its unique bokeh, for which this lens is well known.
This lens does not offer the technical performance of modern lenses but does provide vintage charm and excellent build quality.
This very beautiful and functional camera and lens are a fine addition for any collector who is still looking for a piece of history, because this is what Ihagee Exakta/Exa did in photography... history was written.
The package will be shipped with a Track & Trace number and insurance, and with sturdy packaging.
NOTE: I only ship my goods with a Track & Trace number including insurance (to cover potential damages and theft).
Please keep in mind that shipping costs may be slightly more expensive.
If anyone here does not agree, please also refrain from placing bids.
With thanks in advance.
