Gothic Alms dish - Brass - 17th century

Very large baptismal dish or offertory dish.
With a circumference of as much as 48 cm and a depth of 5 cm.
Origin: Nuremberg, Germany.
Very likely commissioned in the 17th century for the Italian market.
Image of the patron saint San Marko.
With still readable Gothic text.
Double border.
Solid yellow copper.
Only two small, repaired holes in the edge, due to possible mounting of the dish.
