Antique Baroque-style table in palisander wood, dating from 1800–1850, with two front drawers, dark patina and fully hand-carved structure from Spain.
Description from the seller
Baroque rosewood table, 19th century or earlier – character, nobility, and craftsmanship
Imposing antique table made of rosewood, with two front drawers and an entirely hand-carved structure. The spiral-turned legs and the edges with twisted rope moldings evoke the decorative language of the late Baroque, with colonial echoes and Hispano-Portuguese reminiscences. The original brass repousé hardware, with floral and symmetrical designs, adds a touch of distinction and authenticity.
The dark finish, with natural patina and signs of use, enhances the nobility of the rosewood and underscores its lived-in history. One of the drawers shows partial loss in the decorative front, as seen in the images, which does not compromise the solidity or the overall character of the piece. Overall, it remains in good structural and aesthetic condition, ideal for classic environments, private collections, or spaces with soul.
A piece with presence, soul, and proportion that blends functionality with decorative and heritage value.
Certified shipping and good packaging.
