Ferrari badge, an original official badge from 1989, in mint condition with certificate.
Description from the seller
The authentic version of this medal (along with proof of its authenticity) is rarely offered for sale.
After I mailed the owner of Maranello Collection — the shop located almost opposite the old main entrance to the Ferrari factories — to ask whether demand could not be met, he replied as follows:
'Regarding the medals, I think the opposite is true: they produced too many and they didn't sell well. Bolaffi bought the remaining stock and produced a new box featuring the official Ferrari logos. I had the old version for sale for a long time.”
However, it turned out that Bolaffi sold this medal without that note as proof of authenticity. Therefore, it is unclear how many of the original versions are in circulation. In any case, certainly not 2,000.
Incidentally, the medal on offer was purchased in 1990.
The authenticity note contains all the medal's details except its weight. It weighs 71 grams.
