Celtic Iron Age, La Tène, silver decorated bow fibula with arched bow leading to a bilateral spring with a complete and intact pin. The foot, connected to the catch-plate, ends in a protruding knob. Lineair incised decoration on the bow above the catchplate and an applied decorated ringband on the bow close to the spring.
± 59,7 x 9,4 mm
Good and solid condition. Signs of wear consistent with age and use. See images.

This object has been carefully examined with regard to its material composition and surface characteristics.
Specialised laboratory analysis such as metallurgical testing (e.g. XRF) is not routinely undertaken in private collecting and is more commonly associated with academic or institutional research.
