- Inscriptions: Obverse: THEODOR BILLROTH · BORN 1829 · * 1929 * with bust to the left and the engraver's signature G. Jenner. Reverse: REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH · 2 SCHILLINGS surrounding nine regional heraldic shields.
- Rating: MS64 (NGC).
Commemorative silver coin dedicated to the Austrian surgeon and physician Theodor Billroth, presented with a left-profile portrait in a realistic style and precise modeling, highlighting well-defined facial features and a high-quality sculptural execution. The reverse features a harmonious composition of the coats of arms of the Austrian provinces arranged circularly around the face value, with crisp and balanced reliefs. The specimen retains an attractive original brightness with a light pale patina and minimal surface marks typical of its grade, offering a very solid and elegant presence within the First Republic of Austria commemorative series.
