Description from the seller
Germany. Berlin. 3 Mark. 1913. Reign of Wilhelm II (1888-1918).
Value: 3 Mark
- Year: 1913.
Reign: Guillermo II (1888-1918).
- Inscriptions: Obverse: "WILHELM II DEUTSCHER KAISER KÖNIG VON PREUSSEN", portrait of Wilhelm II. Reverse: "DEUTSCHES REICH 1913 DREI MARK", with the German imperial coat of arms in the center.
- Grade: MS61 (NGC)
Silver commemorative coin issued to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Wilhelm II's reign. The obverse portrait is particularly detailed, showing the emperor with a solemn bearing and a realistic treatment of the hair, mustache, and uniform, reinforced by the lower laurel crown. The reverse features the German imperial eagle in a powerful and balanced composition, with fine work on the plumage and a very well-defined central shield. The specimen displays an attractive silver tone with a soft, uniform patina, retaining excellent reliefs and a very solid visual presence, characteristic of the great commemorative mintings of the German Empire on the eve of World War I.
