Original piece by Fritz Schröder Möbelfabrik from the 1960s, featuring teak veneer and dimensions 105 cm wide by 114 cm high by 32 cm deep, in excellent condition with minimal signs of wear, and a redesigned back panel with diagonal orange, pink, violet and black stripes giving it a distinctive mid‑century art‑object character; it stands on newly attached legs and includes a cable passthrough for modern use as media or Hi‑Fi furniture.
Description from the seller
This shelf is an original piece of furniture from the same manufacturer – the Fritz Schröder Möbelfabrik – from the 1960s, and has been stylistically carefully reinterpreted.
The cabinet is fitted with genuine teak veneer and shows the warm, lively grain typical of high-quality mid-century furniture. The piece is stable, sturdy, and structurally in very good condition.
The back panel has been redesigned and features a graphic design of diagonal stripes in orange, pink, violet, and black. The color and form language clearly nod to the aesthetics of the late 1960s and early 1970s, giving the shelf a pronounced art-object character without distorting its original shape.
The shelf stands on newly attached legs that conform, in formal terms, to classical mid-century proportions, lending the furniture a light, contemporary feel.
There is a cable pass-through in the back panel, making the shelf suitable for modern applications — for example as media or Hi‑Fi furniture.
There are only minimal signs of wear due to aging. The furniture is stable.
The legs are unscrewed for shipping.
Overall, this piece blends authentic 1960s substance with a contemporary color treatment and is a one-of-a-kind for bold interiors.
