Philips - Plate clamping device Type 3002 Control unit

Plate-current device. When, in 1928, the first electrical grids began to take off, PHILIPS developed this plate-current device, and in 1928 it served as a replacement for the batteries and accumulators on which most devices had to operate up to that time. The 3002 operates with a single lamp/tube with two anodes—the so-called plates. Hence the name plate-current device. A must-have with the early radio sets and a jewel in the home. It has been beautifully preserved but is therefore not testable by me. A wiring diagram is attached, and on the internet you can find somewhat more detailed information on a modest scale.
