Vintage table clock branded Electronic, attributable to Italian production circa between 1965 and 1975, a period closely associated with Space Age–influenced industrial design. The compact spherical form is a clear expression of this era, conceived as both a functional timepiece and a sculptural design object.
The dating is consistent with the type of movement fitted, an electro-mechanical balance-wheel movement powered by battery, characteristic of the pre-quartz transitional period, before the widespread adoption of quartz movements from the mid-1970s onward.
The case is made of solid steel, confirmed by its substantial weight and magnetic response, and features a lathe-turned construction with clearly visible concentric circular satin finishing. This indicates a quality manufacturing process and a non-cast construction, with a clean and distinctly industrial aesthetic.
