Description from the seller
GERMANY. Munich. 1/2 Mark. 1915. William II (1888-1918)
- Value: 1/2 Mark.
Reign: Guillermo II (1888-1918).
Year: 1915.
- Inscriptions: Obverse: GERMAN EMPIRE · 1/2 MARK · 1915, with the value centered and surrounded by a crown of laurel and oak. Reverse: German Imperial Eagle with crown, central shield, and outstretched wings.
- Grade: MS62 (NGC).
Silver half-mark coin minted during the years of World War I, corresponding to the latest issues of the German Empire. The obverse features the face value within a finely engraved vegetal crown, with full relief and good definition in the leaves and the lower ribbon. The reverse shows the crowned imperial eagle in a traditional heraldic style, with proper detail in the plumage and in the central shield. The specimen retains its original luster, partially visible under a uniform gray patina, with light contact marks and small abrasions typical of the grade, maintaining an attractive overall appearance and a solid in-hand presence.
