A Belgian African tribal piece: having preserved its raffia mesh, this ancient Luba mask, lacking a crest, shows relatively concentrated volumes beneath the forehead. An alternating pattern of striped, whitish zones highlights its planes. Erosion and cracks. Height on base: 43 cm.
