Brutalist-style umbrella stand made of oak, from the Netherlands, in good used condition with minor signs of aging and small stains.
Description from the seller
You can place a vintage brutalist-style umbrella stand against the wall.
In this respect, this design is very practical with one flattened side.
A very minimalist appearance, which also has a touch of Art Deco due to the feet. It is a heavy piece because of the solid oak wood from which this umbrella stand is made.
The standard presumably dates from the 1950s or 1960s. The standard is used in the Netherlands. Its origin is attributed on the World Wide Web to Denmark, the Netherlands, Hungary and Poland. Very likely, therefore, European in origin.
The style of this umbrella stand was popular in the 1950s to the 1970s in the above-mentioned countries.
There is no stamp or sticker present.
The measurements
Width 29 cm
Depth 20 cm
Height 52 cm
Weight 4.1 kg
This stand is very sturdy; you can fit several umbrellas in it. The stand is used but in très good vintage condition. A dent, a small stain. Please look carefully at the photos for the overall condition. Inside you can see glue; the glue was applied during the manufacturing process and belongs to this tray. It is not a repair. The tray consists of upright oak slats, with a nice rounding formed on the outside. It provides sturdiness and a wonderful display of the wood grain and patterns.
At the bottom, the feet are stapled with staples, just like at the back. To give you as much information as possible, I photographed all sides. Please examine the photos carefully; they are part of the description. The other products you see in the photos are for decoration for taking the photos and will not be sent.
The umbrella stand will be shipped to you well packaged and insured.
