Pig 05049 by Christien Meindertsma is an updated edition in English, published by Flocks in 2007–2008 as a softcover, 195 pages, 29.7 × 24.5 cm, detailing how a pig provides the raw materials for many everyday products, with the foreword in Dutch and English.
Description from the seller
In Pig 05049, Christien Meindertsma describes the many consumer products that are made from a pig named 05049. The book offers insight into how a single source (a pig) provides the raw material for a large number of everyday objects.
The clinical presentation of every carefully studied object, page by page, organized by body part (skin, bones, flesh, organs, blood, fat, and the rest) follows the use of each part in a variety of products. Some are well known, while others are less familiar, including ammunition, medicines, photographic paper, cigarettes, and biodiesel.
The foreword is in Dutch and English; the remaining texts are in English.
This is the second edition of the book from 2008.
The book won the Dutch Design Award in 2008 and the Index Award in 2009 in the Play category.
The condition of the book is good, with a small stain above the yellow ear tag and a crease below it.
