Five Chinese vases from the 1950s, comprising two glazed porcelain Cantonese-style vases and three cloisonné vases with brass bases, heights from 13 to 16 cm, in acceptable, heavily used condition with possible minor parts missing.
Description from the seller
Decorative set consisting of five Chinese vases from the 20th century, made in two distinct traditional techniques: glazed porcelain and cloisonné, representative of Chinese export decorative art.
The collection includes two glazed porcelain vases of Cantonese style, with rich floral and landscape decoration in blue, white, and pastel tones, characteristic of Chinese porcelain intended for the international market. These pieces have an approximate height of 15.5 cm and retain an elegant, classic silhouette. One of them shows a small visible defect, properly documented in the photographs, in keeping with its age.
The set is completed with three vases made in cloisonné technique, with a metal base and vitreous enamels. Two of them form a mirrored pair, decorated with floral motifs on a red background, with an approximate height of 16 cm, standing out for their visual balance and glossy finish. The third vase, 13 cm tall, features a Chinese dragon on a dark background, a traditional symbol of power, prosperity and protection, highly valued in Eastern iconography.
All pieces show wear and patina consistent with their age, with no visible restorations or identifiable maker marks. No seals are observed that would allow attributing them to a specific workshop, so they are correctly described as 20th-century Chinese production.
An ideal lot for collectors of Oriental art, Asian décor, Chinese cloisonné, Cantonese porcelain, or interiors in a classic and eclectic style.
