Magazine rack PRESS designed by Enzo Mari in chrome steel, made in Italy, dating from 2000–2010, model PRESS, dimensions 38 cm high, 35 cm wide, 16 cm deep, weight 1200 g, in like-new condition.
Description from the seller
This magazine rack 'PRESS' was designed by Enzo Mari in 1999 for Rexite Milano.
'PRESS' is a minimalist and discreet design that focuses on essential shapes, expressed by the simple lines traced by a chrome-plated steel rod. With this PRESS magazine, Mari has incorporated ideas from artistic practices and crafts. The elegant curves with a classic look symbolize art. Meanwhile the refined steel techniques used in the production of this magazine holder symbolize craftsmanship. These two characteristics make this a typical and in some sense autobiographical object of Mari's design, since Mari represented quality, art and craftsmanship, reducing the product to an essence that opposes the idea that good design is a privilege for the well-off.
The stand is in perfect condition and has not been used before.
