Two Zeiss Ikon Contina cameras, the Contina 1C and Contina-Matic II, are in good physical condition and have been tested and are working, using 35 mm film with production around 1958–1960.
Description from the seller
Two Zeiss Ikon Contina cameras in beautiful, functioning condition.
Production period 1958–1960.
This concerns the Contina 1C and the Contina-Matic II, both rangefinder cameras with manually adjustable exposure.
The Contina-Matic II features a functioning, connected selenium light meter.
Both cameras are equipped with a fixed Pantar 2.8/45 lens (Tessar with three elements) and a Prontor shutter (respectively Prontor SVS and Prontor SLK Spezial).
The viewfinder and recording lenses are in optimal condition.
The adjustment rings turn smoothly and with no play. The distance must be estimated.
The shutters have been tested visually and by ear and operate properly from 1/15 second. The longer shutter speeds have become unreliable.
The film speed should be set using the adjustment wheel on top of the camera.
The shutter release button on top of the cameras, with the frame counter surrounding it, operates smoothly and is equipped with screw threads for a cable release. Also on top of the camera are the flash shoe, the light-meter needle (in the Contina-Matic), and the rewind knob.
Cocking the shutter, with the tension lever at the back of the camera, is linked to the film transport and operates smoothly and without hitch on both cameras.
The shutter speed and aperture adjustment rings around the lens are coupled and can be uncoupled with a push button.
Film format: 35 mm ('small image'); 36 negatives of 24 x 36 mm.
Dimensions of the cameras: 12.5 x 9 x 6.5 cm
Weight: 550 or 625 g.
The cameras will be carefully packed, sent by registered mail, insured, and traceable.
