Very beautiful 1950s design stool, restored.
The legs are made of solid oak, the crosspieces are in light beech. The varnish has been sanded and all the wooden parts have been oiled (Scandinavian oil).
The seat has been completely rebuilt (foam, padding and fabric) with Libeco fabric (Belgium), one of the world's best linen manufacturers (carbon neutral since 2014).
The weft is European white linen at 51%. The wool, of very high quality and with great softness at 49%, is dyed in a heathered green-gray. The fabric is delicate and plush, the seat texture is soft and very comfortable, sturdy. The base is perfectly stable.
The underside of the seat is removable and contains compartments in which one can store small items such as sewing supplies or makeup.
The item can serve as a piano bench, a footrest, a sewing box, or a makeup box; or, more simply, as a very comfortable and chic extra stool.
