Description from the seller

Comtoise - Rooster Clock
Truly beautiful, fully maintained, restored rooster clock.
Circa 1780 - 1790.
Comtoise clock with an old hanging piece featuring a medallion with clasped hands, the symbol of 'Fraternité' (brotherhood), one of the fundamental principles of the French Revolution.
The rooster, flanked on each side by the requested 'hen casting piece'.
With a long (130 cm) wire slinger, a tall (10 cm) slinger house, and 'klootje'.
The clock has been restored, revised; parts have been tumbled. The domed dial is not restored but in good condition with small chips between the hour numerals IV and V and the II on the dial (see detail photos), new cords on the original wooden drums.
The dial has not been restored because this original dial is signed under the numeral VI with 'Navand' by the enameler 'Navand à Morez' (see detail photo). Navand was a master enameler/dial maker whose quality was well known in his time and who is now highly sought after.
The clock is in splendid condition. It runs and strikes perfectly, with the sought-after long pendulum and tall pendulum housing.
Beautifully sleek, stylish timepiece in a deep black cabinet.
Authentic, beautiful hand-cut iron clock hands.
Complete with two old deep-black weights featuring the requested rounded, blunt, double-ended finishes.
Percussion with a fine claw hammer; at half past the hour one strike, and on the full hour the number of strikes of the time on a cast bell with 'boerenslag' (repeating) on the hour.
Type of movement: pinion gear train
Custom work:
Case HxWxD: 25x26x18 cm.
Dial diameter: 25 cm.
Total height of the cabinet including cast piece: 38 cm.
Clock incl. pendulum: 168 cm.
Sling length: 130 cm.
Slingerhuis: 10 cm.
Bell: 11.0 cm. height: 5.5 cm.
Small hand: 9 cm.
Large hand: 12.5 cm.

Includes ball-slinger, weights, winding key and clock seat.
Given the weight, I will personally deliver the clock within 100 km at €0.25 per km, or there is also the option to pick it up. Otherwise, the clock will be carefully packaged and shipped.
