Description from the seller
Lancia Delta 1979
Construction Technician Project
of the Lancia Delta Integrale, a rally icon, is based on adapting the original 1979 platform (designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro) to house 2.0 turbo engines and all-wheel drive, developed by the racing division to dominate Group A in the 1980s and 1990s. Characterized by turbocharged DOHC engines, specialized differentials, and reinforced suspensions, it has seen continuous evolution (8v, 16v, Evolution) with power rising to over 210 hp in the street version.
Here are the details of the technical project:
Engine and Transmission: The heart is the turbocharged 4-cylinder inline 2.0-liter engine. Power has risen from 185 hp (8v) to 200 hp (16v) up to 215 hp in the Evolution version. The all-wheel-drive system is paired with a manual transmission and upgraded differentials.
Chassis and Suspension: The bodyshell, originally designed for a mid-sized car, has been stiffened to withstand the stresses of rallying. The suspension is independent and has been refined to maximize traction on mixed surfaces.
