Description from the seller
Classic English hanging corner cabinet (display cabinet) made of solid oak. The cabinet features an elegant arched front (segment arch) and a door with the original six-pane grille. The interior is fitted with two triangular shelves and has, in the past, been repainted in a fresh mint green color, which creates a nice contrast with the dark oak.
The cabinet is complete with the original brass hardware and a properly functioning lock including the accompanying key. The construction is sturdy and the piece is in a neat antique condition with normal signs of aging that contribute to its character.
● Origin: England
● Period: c. 1880–1920 (late Victorian / Edwardian)
● Material: oak wood, glass, brass fittings
● Working lock including key; turns and closes smoothly.
● Dimensions: height 70 cm; depth 26 cm; sides 35.5 cm
● Condition: solid and usable; normal signs of age and use. Interior was later painted mint green.
Information about pickup and shipping
To retrieve:
Due to the fragility of the glass panes and the antique condition of the object, pickup in Montfoort, the Netherlands is strongly preferred. This is the safest way to prevent damage during transport.
Shipping
If pickup is not possible, the item can be shipped. Please note the following conditions:
Destination: Shipping is only possible to addresses on the mainland of Europe. Shipping to islands or overseas territories is not possible due to the increased risk of breakage and complex logistics.
Packaging: The cabinet will be packed with the utmost care (including, among other things, a double layer of bubble wrap and a sturdy cardboard outer box).
Risk: Despite careful packaging, shipping is at the buyer's risk.
