Description from the seller
Why choose the reflecting mirror?
A fascinating decorative object, somewhere between baroque and contemporary surrealism.
A unique sensory experience thanks to its animated eyes.
An impressive format to decorate walls and perspectives with liveliness.
A philosophical and artistic note on the function of the Mirror.
A surreal mirror, like an open door to another dimension.
The spectacular reflective mirror blurs the boundaries between art, design, and technology. Its richly decorated frame mimics the gilded moldings of antique mirrors, while a hidden LCD screen beneath the reflective surface brings to life one or more eyes that open and close slowly. An unsettling presence, almost alive, that questions our gaze and transforms the object into an artistic installation.
Between technology and surreal poetry
Designed to be both functional and emotional, Reflecting is not just a decorative mirror: it is an interactive work of art. As you look at it, it seems as if the mirror is looking back at you. This play of inverted gazes establishes a silent and unsettling dialogue with the surrounding space, making each use unique. Available in the Ciclope (one eye) or Trilogy (three eyes) versions, the mirror simply connects to the power grid via a discreet cable.
An exceptional focal point for bold interiors
Placed above a fireplace, in an entrance hall, or at the center of a living room, Reflecting is an irresistible visual attraction. Its baroque aesthetic, enriched with a contemporary digital touch, blends seamlessly with eclectic, maximalist, or neoclassical environments, creating a deliberately unconventional scenography. A work to contemplate, live with, and incorporate as a manifesto.
Designed by Giampiero Romanò and Andrea Ghisalberti
This unusual mirror stems from the idea of two complementary figures in the contemporary scene. Giampiero Romanò, a Milanese restorer and designer, has been exploring the language of the mirror as a narrative support for over thirty years. His work oscillates between baroque, surrealism, and artisanal experimentation. He cuts, stitches, and perforates reflective surfaces to create expressive and always unique objects. Beside him is Andrea Ghisalberti, a designer, consultant, and experience thinker who collaborates with some of the world's most important cultural and commercial institutions (Art Basel, Audi, Harvard Business School, World Economic Forum). Together, they give Reflecting a dual interpretation: sensory and conceptual.
With Reflecting, your home becomes an art gallery. Let yourself be hypnotized by this upside-down vision of yourself and give your walls a sculptural and animated presence, blending the splendor of the past with the imagination of the future.
