Votive clay statuette of a seated goddess on a throne, modeled after Persephone.
The goddess is seated facing forward on a throne, wearing a polo shirt. She is dressed in an himation that hangs from her head down her back and over her arms.
She also wears a long garment, from under which her feet protrude.
Her hands are resting on her knees.
Greece, 7th / 6th century BC.
Beige terracotta. Excellent condition - no restorations - missing at the back
Height 11.6 cm - width 4.1 cm
Provenance information: United Kingdom, T.M.L. gallery.
Provenance: comes from a British collection of Mediterranean archaeology established before 1999.
