AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

This porcelain Famille Rose jar from the Daoguang period (1820-1850) of the Qing dynasty features a rich polychrome decoration of peonies, blossoming branches and birds, topped by a frieze of ruyi heads on the shoulder. It rests on a carved wooden base and retains its original lid adorned with a knop-shaped finial.

The object is in generally good condition. A slight firing flaw is noted on the rim of the lid, which does not constitute a crack but a marker of its artisanal manufacture long ago. The base bears an old collection label explicitly mentioning the Tao-Kuan period.

Maximum diameter: approximately 21 cm
