Description from the seller
Antique pair of decorative wrought-iron rods with ornamental end caps – circa 1900s
A rare and elegant pair of antique wrought-iron rods, finished with richly ornamented end caps in relief. The end pieces feature fine ridges and gilded dot decoration, indicating high-quality craftsmanship and a decorative function.
The bars are made of solid wrought iron and probably date from the late 19th to the early 20th century. They display a sober yet stylish design that aligns with neoclassicism with early Art Nouveau influences.
Originally possibly used as:
• curtain rods or embrasse-staves
• decorative elements in interior design or architecture
• part of a larger decorative ensemble
The piece is in its original, unrestored condition, with a beautiful natural patina and light signs of use and aging that emphasize its authentic character.

• Period: circa 1900s
• Style: neoclassicism with early Art Nouveau influences
• Country of origin: probably Western Europe
