Kodak Eastman Folding Pocket avant 1898 120 / medium format camera

Antique Kodak Eastman Pocket Camera, first generation, dating from before 1898 (absence of the 'No.1' marking on the body).

Product model circa 1894–1897, part of the first Kodak portable cameras that used roll film. This initial model used Kodak 105 roll film, producing images in 6 × 9 cm format, and is fitted with an achromatic lens opening at f/11.

Condition status

The objective lens and sighting lenses in excellent condition, clean, free of fungus or dust.

Bellows in good condition, supple, with no holes, tears, or visible snags.

Functional shutter, regular triggering. Functional Position B.

Leather-wrapped housing, showing signs of wear and a patina consistent with the age of the device (see photos). It tends to peel in places; handle with care.

The device is complete and authentic, in remarkable condition given its age (late 19th century).
