Description
A rare and exceptionally complete studio pottery service produced by KIL – Keramična industrija Liboje (Slovenia), dated 1989.
This striking postmodern set represents the peak of KIL’s late 1980s design production, combining industrial excellence with artist-signed studio pieces.
The service features a bold geometric design with contrasting gloss black and turquoise glazes, enhanced by a characteristic speckled texture typical of KIL experimental glazing from this period. Several pieces bear a hand-incised artist signature with date “89”, indicating collaboration with an individual studio ceramic artist.
Such large, coherent, and well-preserved KIL services from this era are increasingly difficult to find, especially with signed elements and extensive additional pieces.
