Description from the seller
For sale: Philips PDT-024, an automatic timer for the darkroom with an integrated densitometer, an advanced accessory for printing negatives in black and white and in color. This device combines two essential functions:
Precision timer: controls the enlarger's exposure for a set period (about 1 to 60 seconds, adjustable via the dials). Supports up to 250W load.
Exposure meter/densitometer: thanks to the external probe (the white disk visible on the box, which should be included), it allows measuring the correct exposure directly on the printing plane. The system measures the shadow or light areas (density) of the projected negative to automatically calculate the necessary exposure time.
The three knobs on the front control, respectively, the paper’s sensitivity factor (facteur), the tens of seconds, and the seconds (or fractions, depending on the scale). On the back/side there are sockets to connect the enlarger and the safelight, which is automatically switched off during exposure. Included in its original box: “Philips automatic timer PDT-024.”
