Description from the seller
for sale MC MTO-11 10/1000, an impressive super-telephoto catadioptric (mirror-based) lens of Soviet-made origin. thanks to its Maksutov-Cassegrain optical design, which blends mirrors and lenses, it offers an extreme focal length of 1000 mm in a relatively compact body (even though it weighs about 2.3–2.5 kg).
The lens has a fixed aperture of f/10, a characteristic feature of mirror optics, and manual focus with a knob that rotates almost 360 degrees for millimetric precision. The minimum focusing distance is about 8 meters. It is known for its distinctive ring-shaped bokeh (donuts) and for the almost total absence of chromatic aberrations.
The item for sale is in excellent cosmetic condition, with an integrated retractable metal lens hood. It comes with front and rear caps and a set of colored filters (often included in the original package: UV, yellow, green, orange) that screw onto the back of the lens (120 mm front diameter or smaller rear filters). The mount is interchangeable, typically M42 or M39, easily adaptable to modern DSLRs and mirrorless cameras.
