Täbriz-Design – handgeknüpfter Orientteppich

This hand-knotted Oriental rug is executed in the classic Tabriz design and features a fine, balanced floral ornamentation that extends across the entire field. The design draws on the Persian Tabriz tradition, but was executed in India.

The light ground field is densely filled with sinuous vines, stylized blossoms, and leaf motifs, arranged symmetrically and giving the rug a calm, elegant effect. The floral elements harmonize with each other and create an even surface impression without a dominant central medallion.

The surrounding border is kept dark and provides a clear contrast to the light inner field. It is richly worked with floral motifs, palmettes and winding elements, and frames the central motif precisely. Several narrow secondary borders reinforce the structure and emphasize the rug’s classic character.

The color palette of cream, beige, green, brown, and subtle red accents appears balanced and timeless, and is typical of Tabriz-inspired carpets. Overall, it creates a harmonious, finely detailed overall impression with a traditional aura.
