Description from the seller
Buchara-Design – hand-knotted Oriental rug (runner)
This hand-knotted Oriental rug is crafted in the classic Bukhara design and originates from Pakistan. Typical for this style, the rug displays a strictly geometric, clearly segmented pattern structure with regularly repeated Gul motifs.
The deep red field is arranged with a vertical sequence of octagonal gul motifs, evenly distributed along the entire length of the runner. The gul motifs are finely worked and contain small interior ornaments in cream, black, and beige tones, which gives the carpet a certain depth of detail despite the strict geometry.
The surrounding border is multi-tiered and displays typical Bukhara secondary motifs in a geometric vocabulary. Dark framing lines structure the design clearly and emphasize the elongated runner shape. The restrained, traditional color palette of red, beige, black, and subtle natural tones is characteristic of Bukhara carpets and underscores the timeless, calm overall impression.
Thanks to its regular pattern, clear symmetry, and robust construction, this rug is particularly well suited for hallways, landings, or narrow spaces.
