MiniDisc recorder equipped with digital technologies such as a 20-bit N/A converter, ATRAC Version 4.5, and a sampling rate converter.
The high-efficiency coding technology (audio compression) ATRAC uses version 4.5, which performs 24-bit arithmetic processing.
Compared to conventional models, the reproduction of musical details is improved and the dynamic range is significantly extended.
A 20-bit N/A converter ensures the digital-to-analog conversion.
In addition, a sample-rate converter enables recording from sources sampled at 32 kHz and 48 kHz. All sampling frequencies are converted to 44.1 kHz, the MD’s sampling rate, and digital recording is possible via the SCMS method.
Thanks to its multifunction wheel, entering artist and track names is simplified.
The recorder is equipped with a sound-synced recording function: it starts automatically as soon as playback begins.
It also features convenient recording functions, such as automatic cut-off (which stops recording when there is no audio signal during synchronization), automatic pause (which creates an unrecorded section and pauses the recording), and automatic spacing (which maintains a constant spacing between tracks on a CD).
It offers editing features such as moving (to relocate your favorite tracks), quick rearrangement (to reorder recorded tracks), splitting (to divide a track), merging (to combine two tracks), deletion (to delete only certain tracks), and deletion of all tracks.
It also has a long-duration mono recording function, ideal for recording radio broadcasts or for learning English.
