GDR Collection 1955 to 1987 – 58 pages – blocks, stamps, units
An extensive collection of the German Democratic Republic from the years 1953 to 1987 is offered. The collection comprises a total of 58 album pages and contains an attractive mix of single stamps, blocks, marginal pieces, and larger units.
Notably, there are several early East German stamp blocks as well as complete units with printing marks, catalog numbers, and marginal annotations. Included are, among others, numerous postage stamps and commemorative stamps with various denominations and colors.
The collection consists of mint-condition and cancelled stamps. The condition is predominantly good to very good. On cancelled pieces, clear and clean cancel impressions are present. Age-related signs may be present on older issues.
The stamps are neatly organized on album pages and provide an excellent basis for DDR philately collectors, for expanding existing collections or as an interesting lot to sift through with potential.
