Wuba Mechanical Wall Clock with Weights and Moon Phase
Netherlands, 20th century
Original Wuba mechanical wall clock, manufactured in the Netherlands. Traditional Dutch Zaanse / Frisian style wooden case with an architectural curved top, turned finials and decorative metal ornaments.
The clock features a brass dial with Roman numerals and ornate hands. The upper section is fitted with a moon phase display with a starry sky motif. The centre of the dial is decorated with an engraved scenic design.
Powered by a mechanical chain-driven movement with two original brass weights and a pendulum. The clock is manually wound and operates without batteries.
Working condition: the clock runs; however, the running duration is limited and it may stop after some time.
The movement requires adjustment and regulation to ensure stable and prolonged operation.
Condition: good vintage condition with normal signs of age and use. The wooden case is intact, without cracks or major damage. All main components are present.
