Italian contemporary linen table set by Cristina Linassi-Venezia, circa 1990–2000, in yellow jacquard linen, comprising four table runners (40 × 170 cm) and eight napkins (50 × 50 cm).
Description from the seller
Table setting in pure linen jacquard for 8 people, consisting of 4 table runners and 8 napkins. (Note: these photos show the product but not the number of items in the set, which is 4 runners and 8 napkins.)
This beautiful table service is made in refined linen jacquard produced by old looms from the 1950s, not computerized, which require a longer weaving time and give the fabric an artisanal character.
The jacquard pattern is created by the interweaving of natural-colored threads with gold-colored ones. Thanks to different weaving effects the design takes on a very original three-dimensional character. The 4 runners feature a grotesque motif which is a modern reinterpretation of the design “Carnevalet” by Mariano Fortuny.
The set is particularly original and modern because it combines the geometric motifs of the napkins with the curvilinear and dynamic ones of the runners. The finishes along the sides are always in an openwork hem.
Table runner measurements: 40 cm x 170 cm
Napkin measurements: 50 cm x 50 cm
