Description from the seller

Set in mouth-blown cranberry glass, colored red—or "cranberry glass"—with gold decorations of 6 wine glasses, height 16.4 x diameter 6.9 cm + 1 bottle with stopper, height 29.8 x diameter 9 cm. The cranberry red glass color (cranberry glass) is obtained by adding gold to the molten glass. The style suggests Bohemian origin, dating back to the early 20th century. It features a coordinated stopper and rich decorations in gold enamel, typical of the era. The gold decorations feature intricate rectangular frames and floral details on the faceted foot and on the body of the decanter, circular base. It has a heavy stopper and the original decal “Bohemia Jeweled Glass.” Intense color and gold applied by hand in a detailed way. Not signed. The cabochons are set in ruby on clear crystal and then cut to reveal the clear crystal, which is then gilded with a thick layer of 24-carat gold. The pearlescent glass-crystal is produced using a very complex and costly decorative technology. After the first production phase (the glass blowing), this semi-finished product is covered with another layer of colored glass. Most of the colored layer is then removed by grinding (the colored glass forms the so-called “FACETTE”) and the crystal surfaces are polished with polishing wheels. This product is then hand-decorated with 24-carat gold. The combination of gold and refined enamel decoration gives the products an exclusive appearance. Condition: Retired/Discontinued.
